All of the planning, effort and luck that go into getting a shot like this can't be stressed enough. Out of approximately 160,000 visitors to the Taj Mahal, I was the first person to get through security and run through the grounds with my camera gear to capture this, and several more epic shots not choked with hundreds or thousands of people in the way. Yes, I had to get up at 4am and hustle to the entry, and not a minute to soon. Within about five minutes, there must have been two to three hundred people qued up behind me. None of this would have been possible without having a guide that has done this many times in the past, who in turn hires local experts to sheppard us quickly through the best vantage points to capture these iconic locations.
